About me

As well as being a Tarot Reader you will find me busy with all sorts of secretarial activities in my role as Secretary for the Tarot Association of the British Isles.  I'm a Usui Reiki Master Practitioner, qualified in Reflexology (Universal Technique), Indian Head & Shoulder Massage, Crystal Healing and Energy Healing/Hands on Healing.    I am also a published freelance craft writer and designer with several national craft magazines.

My work with Tarot and the service I offer others is not as a fortune teller.  Tarot cannot foretell our future.  We are all on a life path of choices and decisions where circumstances occur through the natural process of living which cannot be predicted.

Tarot is a tool that I am guided to use in my daily life, for personal growth, spirituality, motivation and self development.  It is a means of looking at a problem or question, looking at the various options and outcomes, to gain fresh insight and to make the best choices at that time.  The cards are also useful as a focus for intentional thinking and action, a prompter or a champion, an energy to focus on for inspiration or motivation.

Tarot Practitioners are not regulated however as a member of the Tarot Association of the British Isles these are the ethics I work within:

  • Readings are in confidence between the client and the reader.
  • Readings aim to help the client to take charge of their own life.
  • Clients will be treated equally and with respect.
  • Readings will be open-minded, honest and non-judgmental.
  • If appropriate it will be suggested that clients consult a qualified professional. (e.g. health or legal professional.) Readings on health matters, medical diagnosis or financial advice will not be given.
  • When a fee is due, the amount will be agreed prior to the reading.
  • If at any time the reader feels unable to complete a reading, they will withdraw tactfully.
  • Readings will not knowingly be given to clients aged under 18 years without permission from their parent or guardian.
  • Readings cannot be given about anyone other than the client, and questions relating to others (e.g. third parties, such as partners, family members, colleagues, etc.) will be re-phrased or declined.
  • The reader is not responsible for any decisions a client makes based on their reading. Everyone has free will to make their own informed decisions and judgements.
